Internal Excess: Selections Fall 2003

Internal Excess: Selections Fall 2003, part of the Viewing Program series, introduced the work of fourteen emerging artists whose drawings explore means of interface between the protected interior and the reality of the outside world.

The accompanying publication features works and artist statements by Arthur Aghajanian, Astrid Bowlby , Lorella Di Cintio, Alix Delmas, Douglas Florian, Christine Hiebert, Jeff Konigsberg, Jeanne Lorenz, Abigail Lazkoz, Christina Mancuso, Lamar Peterson, Kristine Robinson, Yuken Teruya, and Mie Yim. The volume also includes an introduction by Catherine de Zegher, Luis Camnitzer, Susette Min, and Marisa White examining the ways in which each work questions interior and exterior, self and other, to think beyond what we think we know.
