Wall-to-Wall Drawing, an exhibition produced by The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program, features wall drawings by seven emerging artists. Rather than creating murals or using the wall as a super-canvas, these artists delved into the function of the wall and its symbolic value. The accompanying publication showcases a variety of approaches to "wall drawing"– whether through graphite marks, bold drywall cut-outs, huge gestural lines, or digital media projections– that play with ideas of illusionism, transparency, depth, and materiality. It features works and artist statements by Charbel Ackermann, Avantika Bawa, Rosana Castrillo Diaz, Shoshana Dentz, Sun K. Kwak, Mark Licari, and Chris Sauter.
