Louise Despont: Energy Scaffolds and Information Architecture

Louise Despont, best known for her intricate and deeply meditative drawings on antique ledger paper, depicts the invisible structures, channels, and pathways of energy that flow through and exist in symbiosis with the human body. Accompanying Louise Despont: Energy Scaffolds and Information Architecture, the first solo museum exhibition of the artist’s work, this publication features the artist’s site-specific architectural installation and several series of large-scale drawings influenced by Despont’s relocation to Bali. It also includes an interview with the artist by the exhibition curator Brett Littman as well as a newly commissioned essay by renowned writer and publisher Raymond Foye.
