Mateo López: Undo List

Trained as an architect in his native Bogotá, López has long used drawing as a conceptual tool to cross disciplines and aesthetic categories. More than an artistic medium for the artist, drawing is a way of conceiving and indeed inhabiting the world. 

Accompanying Mateo López: Undo List, the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in the United States, this publication features works on paper and sculpture, as well as stills from performance, and projected film. Scholarly essays explore the tension between aspiration and material resistance in the artist’s work.
