Eternal Freedom

This limited edition was created for The Drawing Center in conjunction with the artist’s solo exhibition Naudline Pierre: This Is Not All There Is, the first exhibition to exclusively feature Pierre’s works on paper. Eternal Freedom, the series of 35 numbered lithographs with unique color variations applied by hand, is the artist’s first venture into lithographic printmaking.

Naudline Pierre harnesses the power of spiritual iconography and transcendental motifs in her works to create fictional worlds rooted in a mythology of her own making. Aware of the possibility as well as the restriction inherent in narratives of spiritual transcendence, Pierre mobilizes time-honored motifs to create fantastical scenes of winged creatures and fiery beings.

The Drawing Center's limited editions are generously donated by artists and provide critical support for all that the organization does—from groundbreaking exhibitions and publications, to education and community initiatives. All proceeds of limited edition sales benefit The Drawing Center.
