Wild Style, released in 1983, is a legendary film that immortalized the gritty streets of the South Bronx and the vibrant East Village arts scene in New York. It was also the first introduction of breakdancing, graffiti, rapping, and DJing to the rest of the world, forever changing the cultural landscape.
Published by BEYOND THE STREETS, Wild Style, the zine, includes rare and candid photos of the biggest names in the late 70s/early 80s New York scene: Debbie Harry, Fab 5 Freddy, Grandmaster Caz, DONDI, Patti Astor, Frosty Freeze, Rammellzee, Zephyr, Busy Bee, Fantastic Five, FUTURA, Lady Pink, and additional footage and artifacts from the film, videos, and the streets.
